Prioritizing Mental Health Wellbeing

Welcome!

As a licensed mental health professional, I am dedicated to assisting anyone experiencing situational stressors that lead to substantial emotional distress. My approach focuses on genuinely understanding your perspective, offering empathetic listening, and supporting you in building skills and capacities that enhance self-efficacy and resilience against depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. Through our collaborative efforts, individuals and families can develop competencies that foster mental health wellness. One important factor is understanding the diverse cultural backgrounds of those I serve, recognizing that cultural influences significantly shape the therapeutic process and quality of understanding, ensuring that interventions are culturally informed and responsive to your unique needs.

Who I See

Services

Individual Therapy

Any one really, especially those struggling with very emotional difficulties that appear to be interfering with perceptions, judgment, thinking, communication and mood causing difficulties in most areas of life (e.g., relationships, work and school life).

Child, Adolescent, Teens

I specialize in working with adolescents and teens by providing them with a safe space to express and process their emotional angst. I also require that parents be involved in at least one consultation session per month with their child. Other areas of expertise include working with children and adults who are neurodiverse, particularly those with ADHD and autism, parent coaching, and the cultural impact on mental health.

ADHD Assessment

ADHD assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to accurately identify Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in individuals. This process involves a detailed clinical interview, standardized behavioral rating scales. The goal is to provide a clear diagnosis and inform a personalized treatment plan tailored to the individual’s unique needs.

Group Process Therapy

In process groups, 4 to 5 individuals meet face to face to share who they are, learn about themselves, and gain skills to use outside the therapy room. Process groups can be a meaningful way to receive multiple perspectives, encouragement, and feedback and learn how you relate to others in a safe and confidential space.
